- The kids computer should be in the living room
The monitor should be visible from where you are watching TV or spend most of your time. The distraction may be minimized with headphones but this is probably the most important tip and is worth the trouble. - No laptops or Wi-Fi devices in the bedrooms
- Lock down smart phones
Most people are surprised by the capabilities of a smart phone, if your child has one, subscribe to a content filtering service.
In addition to these house rules you should setup a content filtering service on your router. This service allows you to select a pre-configured filtering level and add websites to Block or Allow lists. I addition, you can view reports of your internet traffic.
