Database Analyst/Programmer 6/21/07 – 4/15/2011

Prior to my current position I’ve held the following: Help Desk I, Network Analyst I, Senior Network Analyst. Here are some of my responsibilities and a few notable accomplishments.

Development

  • Designed and maintain a SharePoint/InfoPath 2007 based purchasing system that tracks purchase request from start to finish and handles automatic approval routing, attachments and version history/control. This system replaced a paper process and has handled 377+ orders a month.
  • Designed and maintain a SharePoint/InfoPath 2007 based Personnel Change Form which is a complete business process implementation with approval routing, tasks and HR database and Active Directory integration.
  • Developed a SharePoint based self-service Learning Management System to handle employee enrollment, transcripts and talent tracking.
  • Integrated a JavaScript charting library with our employee database to create a self maintaining Organization Chart.

Network Administration

  • IT administrator for a VITA program. 70+ workstations at 7 locations with 17,500 tax returns per season.
  • Customized/deployed/maintain our SharePoint 2007 intranet. 500+ users.
  • General Windows Domain administration.

 

TekSystems

Tech 1 Contractor 8/10/06 – 6/21/07

  • Worked on contract with my current employer as a help desk tech 12/11/06 – 6/21/09. Many of these task merge with the position listed above.
    • Added/Removed/Edited users in the AD as necessary.
    • Administered the EskerFax and ESI phone system.
    • Managed Symantec BackupExec backups.
    • Monitored/updated Symantec Antivirus and remove persistent viruses.
    • Upgrade/Deploy/Troubleshoot ADP, Taxwise, Mas90 and others.
    • Remotely and personally assisted with helpdesk tickets.
    • Maintained software installation points and Symantec Ghost images so that they are always up to date.
  • On various contract jobs: Deployed Cisco routers for BlackBox. Performed data migration. Deployed 30+ PC SP2 upgrade. IT inventory control. Pulling/terminating CAT5/6 cable.

Volunteering Network Administrator 8/7/06 – 2/15/07

  • Restructured the ad-hoc workgroup to a Win2K Server domain and configured folder security to allow access to only the data relevant to the user’s work.
  • Optimized the network by replacing damaged cables and removing spyware and unnecessary programs

PC and Laptop Technician 7/21/05 – 8/4/06

  • Upgrading, diagnosis and repair on desktop and laptop PCs. Lead technician for repairing laptop hardware.
  • Recovered corrupt data and operating systems. Recovered deleted data and resolved many software problems such as spyware and hijacked browsers.
  • Designed and built custom PCs from gaming machines to small business servers.
  • On call technician for several clients to troubleshoot their network, IP printers, file sharing and any general issues.

 

Notable Skills

  • Program batch files, VBScript, C#, HTML, CSS. Familiar with C++/Java.
  • Troubleshoot/repair any Desktop/Laptop/Server hardware.
  • Repair virus/spyware/root kit infections.
  • Expert in Windows 98->7. Deploying and Support MS Server 2000->2008. Know and support dozens of common business programs including QuickBooks, MS Office Suite, InfoPath and SharePoint Server.
  • Can run and terminate Ethernet cable, plan/implement wired/wireless networks.
  • Speak, read and write in Russian fluently.
