Computer Maintenance Plan
In addition to help desk staff, most large businesses have very expensive systems and staff to manage routine maintenance on their computer systems. In return their systems run faster, last longer and less revenue is lost due to down time. I offer similar benefits to businesses that do not staff a technician or need services performed after hours.
Regular maintenance will keep your computers running smoothly, helps prevent computer problems before they happen and can add years to its lifetime.
The Computer Maintenance Plan includes the following tasks:
- Apply any service packs or critical security updates that need to be installed to help ward off potential hackers.
- Verify that Antivirus is up to date, functioning correctly and review/address virus activity.
- Purge Temporary Internet Files and Windows Temp Files which can slow down your computer and fill up hard drive space.
- Scan and Remove any Viruses, Adware and Spyware.
- Verify that back ups are working correctly by restoring a file.
- Check the health and capacity of hard disk drives.
- Prevent un-needed programs from auto-starting when the computer starts which makes it run faster.
- Install/Uninstall programs on request. (subject to restrictions)
- Address any other specific issues that do not warrant a specific visit.
A customized task list will be created to suit your business to ensure the key areas are being addressed during each visit. Some businesses may require additional tasks such as off-site data backups, copier allocation reports or other application specific tasks. Additional requirements may affect the price.
Scheduling: We understand that you and your employee’s time is valuable. The monthly maintenance can be done after hours or even remotely.
Cost: Our monthly maintenance package consists of us visiting your office once a month and performing the tasks listed in this document and more. Here is the cost for the plan as described above.

Maintenance cost will vary depending on the number of computers and additional tasks requested. Our normal service rates are $70 an hour. With a maintenance plan there is a discounted rate for service call that do not fall under the normal schedule.
